11th Annual “Crown Jewel of Rodeo” and Richest Single-Day Western Sports Payout in the World Featured Live Performance by Global Superstar Post Malone
Tune in on Saturday, March 16 at 1:30PM ET for all the action on FOX

As the intense action came to a close inside Globe Life Field at The American Rodeo, owned by Teton Ridge on Saturday, March 9, barrel racer Brandon Cullins swept the competition in the Contender field – earning the biggest single-day payout of his career.

Hailing from Doublin, TX, Cullins is no stranger to the largest stage in western sports, having made his way into the qualifying field for the fifth time. As the first male winner of the barrel racing discipline at the Crown Jewel of Rodeo, the well-known futurity derby trainer was paired with equine athlete “MJ Segers Fast Lane.” The duo have been competing together since 2022 and already earned more than $300,000.

Celebrating its 11th year, The American Rodeo features competitors in all eight traditional rodeo disciplines: barrel racing, breakaway roping, steer wrestling, team roping (heading and healing), tie down roping, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding. Fans could root for the underdog “Contenders” chasing a $1 million bonus or the professional athletes defending their champion status in the ultimate high-stakes showdown.

Other champions from The American Rodeo 2023 included: Creek Young (bull riding); Shad Mayfield (Tie Down); J.D.Struxness (Steer Wrestling); Sage Newman (Saddle Bronc); Luke Brown and Hunter Koch (Team Roping); Sarah Angelone (Breakaway) and Kade Sonnier (Bareback).

Closing out the high-energy night of top tier western sports, global superstar Post Malone brought even more energy to the 42,000-seat Globe Life Field with an in-arena performance.

As the second installment of The American Performance Horseman kicked off two full days of nonstop western sports action at The American Weekend on Friday, March 8, 2024 the top professionals from the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA), National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) and National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) standings put it all on the line for $1,000,000 and one-of-a- kind MS Diamonds TX championship rings.

The Royal Blue Team, as drafted in late February, of cutter Adan Banuelos, reiner Casey Deary and reined cow horse professional Clayton Edsall swept the night in first place before a live performance by five time entertainer of the year Luke Bryan.
